8 by Grameen Fisheries
8 cases related to income taxes, and
2 criminal cases
Everyone should know how these cases have come into the spotlight.
- Dr Yunus was doing a government job in Grameen Bank and was getting a government salary every month. So how did he invest thousands of crores of money abroad or do business? Is it possible for a government salaried employee?
- 5% of profit is supposed to be deposited in the Labor Welfare Fund. Violating the labor law, Dr Yunus’s company has deprived workers since 2006 by not depositing even a single taka or dividend into the workers’ welfare fund.
- Dr Yunus opened many business establishments with Grameen Bank’s TIN, but he paid no taxes and even he did not give his income tax. His other companies also evaded taxes.
- He invested thousands of crores of dollars by money-laundering abroad.
To what extent does a person deprive the country and the people of the country of its dues if there is no respect for the country and if there is no responsibility?
When ordinary people and government institutions seek justice before the law, promotional statements by many quarters including foreign powers begin in exchange for crores of money.
He got the Nobel Prize by exploiting the people of the country, but there is no Noble matter in his character and activities.
